"Fusumo" is bedclothes in ancient Japan and a word was used until the Edo period. Because it is light and durable, it is very convenient to carry. Favored by samurai and a haiku poet who travel often. Well known haiku poet, Matsuo Basho, leaves a work called "Kamibusuma no ki". “Fusumo”s threads are made by twisted Washi and thinned wood of coniferous trees and they were double waved with the Jacquard loom. Perfect for a special gift!

Making pulp from raw wood materials to make washi paper. Threads are made by twisted washi paper. By creating Fusumo with cotton yarn and Japanese paper thread, the valuable blanket fabric was made less fluffy and gentle in touch.
